Infest Organizers
23km from Barcelona, Rubí is drawn as a city of asphalt, industry and smoke.
Its streets, however, are brimming with talent. Talent that, in several ways, has managed rise to the surface in many artistic disciplines such as music, urban art, circus, theater, film and dance.
In our opinion, the great success of all of them was born thanks to popular initiatives that created formulas to promote contact between different artists.
And in that context, the InFest festival emerges as a firm and clear proposal: that Rubí be known as the Rubiwood of the Vallés district. During the last 3 years, InFest has organized the best possible short film experience: outdoors screenings, concerts, bar service and all kinds of activities related to cinema. What else can we ask for?
Infest 2019
Infest 2019 comes with surprises! This year, we have increased the first prize, which will be 1000€. Regarding the activities of the event, we can announce that we will introduce a Horror Market and we are also planning the ARKAM Awards, which we will present in April to the best audiovisual productions of El Vallès. Of course, we will continue to offer live concerts and the cinema experts’ panel discussions at the festival!
Who makes the Infest possible?
TAC members
We are very proud to be part of the TAC (Terror Around Catalonia), the association of festivals that annually awards the best Catalan short films. The TAC consists of: the Molins de Rei horror film festival, the Sabadell terror festival, the Fantosfreak from Cerdanyola, the Amposta’s Fangofest, Cardedeu’s Cardoterror, the B-retina from Cornellà, the Cryptshow from Badalona, Sant Cugat Fantàstic, Infest and the recent incorporations of the Acollonat from Girona and the Baidefest from Roses.
